LOOK Cycle presents two new bikes with UCI WorldTour DNA: the 795 Blade RS, a born competitor, and the 796 Monoblade RS, a specialist in pure speed. Incorporating all LOOK expertise in carbon technology and high-performance design. Both bikes were developed and tested during the 2022 and 2023 seasons alongside professional riders and technicians from the Cofidis team.

The LOOK Research and Development team worked closely with the Cofidis team during training courses and throughout the WorldTour season to refine the geometry and responsiveness of the bikes, as well as to optimize their design with regard to durability and maintenance requirements required by high-level competition. Feedback from the Cofidis team ensures that the latest LOOK bikes not only perform at the highest international level, but also offer unrivaled ease of maintenance and use and long-term reliability.

The new versions of the LOOK 795 Blade RS and 796 Monoblade RS bikes are natural evolutions of previous models. Both bikes feature significant improvements in their carbon composition and integrate construction technologies proven on the LOOK T20, a track bike that won medals at the Olympic Games in particular. Drawing on its know-how, LOOK has carefully worked on the carbon composition by placing ultra-high modulus carbon layers with a specific orientation in order to save weight while increasing rigidity in key areas of the frames.

“We are very pleased to unveil the new 795 Blade RS and 796 Monoblade RS, the result of our close collaboration with World Tour Team Cofidis. These cutting-edge bikes embody the pinnacle of innovation and performance and reflect all the expertise and knowledge acquired through our partnership with professional cyclists. The 795 Blade RS and 796 Monoblade RS are meticulously designed to excel in the most demanding racing conditions, providing an unrivaled experience for both Team Cofidis riders and passionate cyclists around the world. With their exceptional aerodynamics, light weight and cutting-edge technology, these bikes demonstrate our commitment to continually pushing the boundaries of what is possible. Pierre Jean Martin, LOOK Cycle technical director.

795 Blade RS

The 795 Blade RS uses ultra-high modulus carbon for increased lightness and stiffness, while specific frame elements such as seatstays, junction points and bottle cage positions have been reworked to optimize aerodynamics. These developments allow the new 795 Blade RS to be stiffer and more aerodynamic than the previous model.

Although its geometry is firmly focused on competition, the 795 Blade RS offers plenty of adjustment possibilities depending on the rider’s size or preferences, without compromising its performance. The LOOK aero cockpit has been designed for versatility and ergonomics and allows the stem or handlebars to be easily replaced according to the needs of each cyclist.

“The new LOOK 795 Blade RS, on which we have the privilege of riding this season, is simply exceptional. We had extensive discussions with the R&D departments of LOOK and CORIMA before the season to obtain the best possible bike. This bike is fast, and not only is it fast, but it rides at a constant speed, which is important. In addition, it behaves perfectly on any terrain thanks to its extreme steering precision and its optimal aerodynamic qualities. We are really delighted to be able to count on such cutting-edge technology.

The level of races and riders continues to rise and it is important to have total confidence in your equipment, which is the case with the LOOK 795 Blade RS equipped with CORIMA wheels.” Simon Geschke, professional rider Team Cofidis

Main features of the 795 Blade RS:

  • Weight: frame 905 g and fork 425 g (size M), complete bike 7.0 kg with Dura Ace groupset and CORIMA MCC EVO 47 wheels (size M)
  • All-new carbon lay-up featuring 25% ultra-high modulus fibers
  • The seatstays, seat post, seat post clamp, top tube and fork have all benefited from aerodynamic optimization

796 Monoblade RS

Unlike the 795 Blade RS which seeks to find the perfect balance between stiffness, lightness and aerodynamics, the 796 Monoblade RS was created with aerodynamics and pure speed in mind.

Lighter and stiffer than its predecessor, the new 796 Monoblade RS frame features disc brakes and revised integration, but also updated aerodynamic sections, notably at the seatstays, and a handlebar with routing internal cables.

“I had the opportunity to work with the LOOK Cycle R&D department and test the 796 Monoblade RS at the start of the off-season. As my recent victory in the Dunkirk 4-day time trial attests, this bike is exceptionally light and fast for a time trial bike. What appealed to me the most was its rigidity, its liveliness when restarting and its careful aerodynamics, which really allow you to ride fast. The cockpit layout has also been optimized to provide a very smooth experience, making it a perfect time trial bike.” Benjamin Thomas, professional rider Team Cofidis
