Web Industries, a leader in composite materials converter and outsource manufacturer serving the North American and European aerospace industries, presents its portfolio of precision composite formatting services and products at JEC World 2024, Paris-Nord Villepinte, Booth G27, Hall 5.

As a market leader in ply cutting & kitting and precision formatting, the company has produced over 20 million kits and 11 billion linear feet of formatted composite materials.

At the show, which runs from March 5-7, Web Industries will show examples of the business’s major product lines, including:

  • Next-generation precision slitting
  • Ply cutting & kitting
  • Precision BiasPly™ material formatting
  • Perforated & custom-formatted materials

Web’s high-efficiency U.S. and European-based production lines deliver unprecedented yields and make greatest use of valuable material.

The company’s automated processes, in-line quality assurance and scale increase throughput and enable it to provide customized precision formatting for large programs in commercial, defense and space. Visitors to Web Industries’ booth will find insights about Precision BiasPly™ material formatting process of particular interest. Fibers in BiasPly-formatted materials are pre-oriented to 30, 45, 60 or 90 degrees in contrast to standard unidirectional fibers. BiasPly-formatted materials can be combined in layers for exceptional strength relative to their weight.

Also at the show, Web Industries representatives will discuss the company’s new precision slitting capabilities at its Omega Systèmes Nantes, France, manufacturing facility. The equipment investment is supported by a grant from the France Relance [Recovery] Plan’ for the production of thermoset and thermoplastic slit tape material.

In another show highlight, Web Industries’ Technical Manager Europe Dr. Ing Henning Neumann and Vice President, Aerospace Jason Surman will host a presentation about “Expanding Possibilities in Precision Formatting,” addressing manufacturing and supply chain issues of critical interest to aerospace OEMs and tiered suppliers. The presentation will take place at Web Industries’ booth on Wednesday, March 6, at 10:30 a.m.

Members of the press are welcome to attend.
