Animus wood and carbon bike

Their flagship products are related to sports and they are: Wood and carbon bicycle, and table tennis frames.

The wooden bike concept originated from an idea: why not exploiting the long-time experience on the composites processing and application in the nautical field to realize something new and appealing?
So, they realized that they could design something different than the traditional “wooden bike”: the design of a bike leveraging on the carbon material treatment capability, their core competence since more than 40 years, mixed with the advantages offered by use of the wooden tissue.

Wood offering unique features:  shock absorbing, damping vibrations, it is light, made by linear fibres;

Carbon structure presenting helical shaped fibres, perfectly fitting the wooden profile.
Through vacuum processing, it is realized a compounded wood and epoxy resin impregnated carbon material. To fully exploit all material characteristics, they designed the frame with round curves in order to strengthen the shape flexibility (i.e., bumpy road) and getting a very good resistance to twisting. Another plus to use wood and carbon, is the increased resilience, optimized weight, good hardness.

Final look and aesthetics have also been focused, to produce an article inspiring good feeling, and emotion.

Keeping same basic structure, the current offering covers different bike versions: City Bike, MTB, Gravel.

Why Animus?
Because wood and carbon cores are the basic elements of the design, and because they put all their love for accuracy and their SOUL to realize every single Bike.

The combination of natural, living materials, such as wood with technological ones such as carbon, and above all how these two are bonded together, is their trademark.

Animus was therefore born from the idea of combine the “technology of nature” with the “technology of man”.
